100 word challenge

The ship roams the rough sea. From high up, Elvis clutches tightly to the lookout wall. He squints through spray coating the end of his rusty telescope.
Suddenly, he spots a dark shape in the swooshing waves. It’s a ship, but something’s wrong.
It is beached on the silky sand. Its crew have abandoned it.
All aboard must have escaped just before the damaged ship mysteriously sunk.
Carefully, Elvis creeps closer and peers at the wreck. He sees ragged holes in the side where the salty, foaming water rages into the hold.

The mystery of the sunken ship is solved.

starlight writing

Rumbling unexpected sound
Under the ground plates vibrate
Mumbling people while buildings crumble
Big storms blow the big trees down
Lights out says mums and dads as they help us
Earthquakes rumble the cracking sea bed
